The ASSOCIATIVE LABORATORY TERRITOIRES ALIMENTAIRES was founded in December 2013 to pursue, support and share the research of its founder around the interactions between Man and Nature. These interactions between human beings and their environment take place on what is commonly called a territory and mainly concern their food.

Territoires Alimentaires

Territoires Alimentaires proposes an original approach which mainly consists in convening social science research and its tools and in supporting the Man/Nature relationship and these are their main activities:

  • establishing a database on the links and relationships between the territory and food, thus building an observatory,
  • carrying out action research to develop tools and content in favour of food transition
  • developing training courses on the right to food and new practices linked to the art of living in the territory and food.

vismednet Association

VISMEDNET is a professional association created to bring together professionals who share an interest in youth and employment, education and research, entrepreneurship and innovation. Its team includes professionals with more than 16 years of experience in projects at local, European and Mediterranean level, as well as a group of cooperative experts who support its activities in various fields.

Their efforts are focused on three main areas that have inspired innovation, namely:

  • the desire to make education more relevant to our lifestyles, the way we learn and the way we build our relationships in today’s world, all in the context of current trends in employment, dependence on digital and intelligent tools,
  • ensuring the scope and accessibility of education, both through the availability of content and tools that make learning flexible, personal, mobile and centred on human needs,
  • to raise young people’s leadership skills to the same level as pedagogical skills with regard to the priorities of school education and vocational education and training.

Momentum Marketing Services Limited

Momentum is an Irish training organization specialized in reaching marginalized target groups with its progressive learning programmes. Founded in 2003 Momentum has years of experience in building learning platforms, education resources, and being deeply present in multiple local communities in Ireland, while keeping active on national and reginal level. They have helped thousands of adult learners, including persons with refugee and migration background, new community members. Specifically, they are helping members of new communities to reach both inclusion and integration though acquiring entrepreneurship skills, digital skills, mediation skills, networking, and leadership.

As a team internally, and as an organization – externally Momentum lives and breathes inclusion, diversity, and empathy, valuing these principles in multiple local and EU wide projects they are implementing.

THE FERDINAND BUISSON PRIMARY SCHOOL is located in the town of Bègles, France. The town and the school set an example in the reception of migrants. 

Ferdinand Buisson Elementary School

The primary schools welcomes 350 pupils age from 6 to 10
years. The children are multilingual and are of 15 different
nationalities. The school benefits from the UPE2A (Unité pédagogique
pour élèves allophones arrivants) support which aims to include in the
regular classes for pupils arriving to France, without sufficient
mastery of the French language. It can take in pupils who have been
educated in their country of origin, but also some pupils who have had
little or no previous schooling. The team is voluntary and invested in
thinking about the reception of migrant children in the classes since
each class receives between 1 and 3 allophone children.

The school has hosted about ten artistic workshops around music,
participated in dissemination events and training weeks centred on :

  • The place of the school in the reception of migrant families
  • The role of the arts in language learning
  • The valorisation of cultural heritage in integration processes
  • Ways of communication between people of different traditions
  • The importance of networking in reception facilities

Synkoino Coop is a social cooperative registered in the register of the Hellenic Ministry of Labour, Social Insurance and Social Solidarity , since 2016.

SYNKOINO is a network of professionals who have many years and successful careers in the fields of culture, local development and environment. They pursue these goals through activities in education, arts – including theatre and visual arts.

Synkoino Coop

They combine their scientific knowledge and professional experience, in order to provide local communities with comprehensive services of expertise, technical support, project management and networking. They strive to integrate the European dimension and extroversion into our services, utilising the wide network of organisations and renowned professionals from other European countries. The working languages of their network members, in addition to Greek and English, include German, Spanish, Italian and French.

The three main axes of their work are: Environment, Society and Culture.

Synkoino’s working methodologies are based on the scientific application of the arts as pedagogical tools for the processing and transmission of topics. Their main references are based on theatre, visual arts, music and creativity, structured in their pedagogical and social application.

Their interventions are accurate and take the form of interactive workshops on very specific topics.

They work with both the students to develop the activity, and the teachers to inform them of the methodology used to continue the topic after the end of our intervention.

Istituto Comprensivo Palmanova

THE ISTITUTO COMPRENSIVO DI PALMANOVA was created in September 2000. Today it includes 4 nursery schools, 3 primary schools and 1 secondary school in the municipalities of Palmanova (one nursery school, one primary school, one secondary school), Santa Maria la Longa (one nursery school, one primary school), Trivignano (one nursery school, one primary school) and Visco (one nursery school).

In total, there are almost 870 pupils, 103 teachers of different levels and 21 people who are part of the secretariat or on duty in the schools as service agents. In all the classes there are several pupils of non-Italian nationality and, in particular, in the classes involved there are Italian, Cuban, Moroccan, Croatian, Bosnian, Argentinean, Romanian and Kosovar pupils. The classes have the opportunity to be work on the theme of migration, in relation to the school curriculum, in several disciplines.

THE ATHENEE ROYAL DE BRUXELLES 2 PRIMARY SCHOOL is located close to the Parc de Laeken, Brussels. It is part of a school group that welcomes children from the age of 2 and a half years and organises nursery, primary and general secondary, technical and vocational education.

The School values their pupils and their background, giving special attention to:

  • their cultural and social characteristics, their needs and resources in the processes of acquiring skills and knowledge
  • the aspirations of pupils and their parents in terms of their professional life plans and further education
  • the social, cultural and economic environment of the school
  • the natural environment, the neighbourhood, the town, the village in which the school is located.

Thanks to modern equipment, they have placed new technologies at the heart of learning. Welcoming a multicultural public, 85% of whom are newcomers or former newcomers, the school defends the humanist spirit and democratic values while promoting self-confidence and a sense of responsibility. Its teachers ensure that all its students have equal opportunities for social and professional emancipation.

LE LABA

As a professional in the cultural sector, LABA has a key role to play in promoting the integration and reception of migrants & refugees.

They develop cross-sectoral projects in order to integrate an international dimension of good practice in their work. The LABA brings together within its pole of competences:

  • Local authorities (Cities, New Aquitaine Region, Department)
  • Companies active in the fields of culture, education and training (Rocher de Palmer – International Cultural Centre)
  • Professional organisations
  • Universities and research centres (University of Bordeaux, UBIC – Centre d’innovation sociétale)
  • Mixed economy companies & territorial development agencies.
