Personal or family objects

Personal and family objects may be used as effective educational material to promote the aim of intercultural education, such as the acceptance of, raising respect for and interaction with ’otherness’. The familiarization and acceptance of cultural diversity does not concern only migrants/refugees and migration, but concerns everybody, majorities and minorities, migrants and natives. In this workshop we invite the participants to bring personal or family items in order to develop intercultural dialogue.

We’re not letting the language be a barrier for children to feel included. We are showing ways to communicate through music, food, writing and play and allowing children to showcase their own culture and who they are.
