The Story of Our Logo

DAY ONE IN EUROPE

We would like to present to you the logo for the DAY ONE IN EUROPE project.

Pssst this must be one of the all-time favourite projects of everyone on Day One in Europe team. Why, you ask…Simply, it helps our favourite persons in the world – children! It helps children and families, coming to new communities, new schools, feeling alienated, to feel accepted, included, loved!

The logo represents that SUPPORT and WARMTH.

The HANDS, one in another, speak about communities, holding and supporting
the schools, who welcome families with love. Hands of parents, hands of
children resting safely in the organised and planned support, feeling
included and knowing that they BELONG.

Notice all the beautiful and warm COLOURS? They represent all the different ways in which we will succeed this support
towards families and children with migrant or refugee background.

We are developing a system of support based on:

  • Food, cooking and sharing: LUNCH BOX
  • Dance and music: MUSIC BOX
  • Writing skills and activities: MAIL BOX
  • Games and play: PLAYING BOX
  • The holistic approach and resources: LANGUAGE BOX

With this project, we’re not letting the language be a barrier for children to feel included. We are showing ways to communicate through music, food, writing and play and allowing children to showcase their own culture and who they are.
